Are You An Explorer?

God told me to make clear to everyone how the mystery came about. In times past it was kept hidden in the mind of God, who created all things (Ephesians 3:9 NIRV).

It makes you wonder what else might be hidden in the mind of God that will one day be revealed.  It is interesting to realize that with each discovery we make – like the existence of germs, atoms, and even subatomic particles – God is revealing a little more of the “all things” He created.

The wisest man on earth, King Solomon, said that there is nothing new under the sun.  But that does not mean that everything that exists under the sun has already been discovered.  Even today, botanists find new species of plants, entomologists find new varieties of insects, and we are still being surprised by new strains of viruses and bacteria in the medical field.  Most recently, the discovery of the quantum field of physics has uncovered an entire world that exists beyond the world we see and scientists are boggled by what has become to us, as Christians, the norm.

From the moment we embrace the concept of eternal life through Christ, we discover an entire world of unseen entities, principles, and ideas that are more real to us than those that we can see.   And every day we are greeted with the opportunity to discover more secrets, hidden in the mind of God, from the simplicity of the beauty of a sunset to the profound implications of the Gospel story.  But it is up to us to stay in the mode of exploration in order to uncover these revelations that are always before us.  The Bible paints an interesting picture of God’s delight in an age-old game that practically every earthy father has at one time played with his is children – that of hide and seek:

It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter (Proverbs 25:2 NKJV).

I will keep my eyes open today to see what God might want to reveal that is hidden in His mind, waiting to be discovered just for me.
